Single Origin Sencha – 018 Ujihikari


This rare gyokuro variety is farmed in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. Uji Hikari is one of the most sought after cultivars in Uji, being famously rich and delicious but also famously hard to grow. Sensitive to temperature and demanding in the type of soil it needs, producing delicious Uji Hikari is no easy feat. The Uji style is to enjoy the moist and delicate scent unique to Gyokuros by layering brews from a low temperature.
